Concrete ring septic tank, installed

Concrete ring septic tanks in Chișinău and its suburbs: we dig the pit, lower the base slab and the rings, fit the lid and connect the pipe from the house. We work out how many rings you need from how many people live in the house and how often you want to call the emptying truck.

What the installation includes

The job runs from the pit to the lid and the pipe into the house. If we bring the rings, we unload them too.

  • The pit

We dig it by mini excavator or by hand, wider than the rings so there is room to work around them.

  • Rings and base

We lower the base slab and the rings, then seal the joints so nothing leaks into the ground and groundwater stays out.

  • The lid

We fit a concrete slab with a manhole, so the emptying truck can reach the tank easily.

  • Connection to the house

We lay the pipe from the house to the tank to a fall and fit a vent, so the yard does not smell.

Which tank to choose

The tank depends on the house, the soil and how far away the well is. On the clay around Chișinău water soaks away poorly, and that changes the choice.

  • Sealed tank

A ring tank with a concrete bottom, emptied by truck. It suits plots next to wells, a high water table and heavy clay.

  • Two-chamber tank

The first chamber holds back the solids; from the second, the settled water soaks away through gravel. It is emptied less often, but the soil has to take the water.

  • Treatment plant

For a large house or very rare emptying: see the treatment plant.

How we install the tank

Three steps; the pit is not left open longer than needed, so the walls do not slump after rain.

  1. We choose the spot

It goes away from the well and the house, but within reach of the emptying truck so its hose gets to the manhole. We also see where the pipe runs and what fall it gets.

  2. We dig and lower the rings

We dig the pit, set the base, lower the rings by machine and seal the joints. If water comes into the pit, we pump it out.

  3. We connect and backfill

We fit the lid, connect the pipe from the house and backfill around the rings, compacting the soil in layers.

How much does a concrete ring septic tank cost installed?

Installation is priced per job, and the total depends on how many rings and chambers the tank has and how deep it goes. Digging the pit is part of the installation. You buy the rings, base and lid or we bring them, with the receipt. If we hit water or rock in the pit, we tell you before carrying on.

How many rings does a house need?

It depends on how many people live in the house and how often you want to empty the tank: the more rings, the less often the truck comes. On the visit we work out the volume you need and tell you how many rings to buy, of what diameter, and how many chambers to build.

Do you empty septic tanks?

No, emptying is done by a vacuum truck that pumps the tank out. We dig and install the tank so the truck can get to its manhole easily, which is why we place it near the gate or the road where we can.
